The story behind Musamam

"Musamam" — a name rooted in Arabic — was conceived as Lattafa's contemporary take on a polished, Middle-Eastern style woody fragrance. The composition uses akigalawood (a captive woody molecule developed by Givaudan) to give the base a smooth, slightly peppery patchouli-like character, paired with the warmth of incense and labdanum. The bottle takes the brand's recognisable polished black-and-gold silhouette.
