Alisma lancelot, commonly known as Lancelot water-plantain, is a marginal aquatic perennial with slender, lance-shaped green leaves forming a basal rosette and tall branching stems. In summer it produces airy clusters of delicate pink/white flowers above the foliage, creating a subtle and elegant display along pond margins and in damp soils.
This species is valuable for pollinators and contributes to wetland biodiversity, while its upright, clump-forming habit and tolerance of consistently moist or shallowly submerged soil make it ideal for pond edges, wetlands, and naturalistic water features.
