Originally created in 2020 as a "By Request" hand-poured edition at 89 Jermyn Street, the composition pairs creamy tuberose and jasmine with a cool iris-and-orange-blossom opening and a soft amber, benzoin and musk drydown — silken, sensual and quietly grand.

About Floris

Floris London was founded in 1730 by Juan Famenias Floris and his wife Elizabeth, and remains family-owned and based at the same address — 89 Jermyn Street, in the heart of St James's — almost three centuries later. The house holds Royal Warrants of appointment as Perfumer to the British Royal Family, and its fragrance archive includes scents created for figures from Florence Nightingale to King Edward VII. Tuberose in Silk was developed by the in-house team under Perfume Director Edward Bodenham.

The story behind Tuberose in Silk

Tuberose has been one of perfumery's most prized white florals for centuries — luminous, slightly indolic, and far more complex than its garden cousins. For Tuberose in Silk, the Floris team paired Indian tuberose with jasmine and a touch of camphorous iris to keep the heart from becoming too rich, and lengthened the dry-down with amber, benzoin and musk to evoke the soft sheen of silk against skin. The bottle, dressed in soft cream and gold, references the mid-century décor of the Floris boutique.

How to wear it

Spray sparingly onto pulse points — wrists, behind the ears, the base of the throat — from around 15 cm away. As an Eau de Parfum built around real tuberose absolute and a resin base, expect strong projection in the first one to two hours and a deep, soft skin scent that lingers six to ten hours. Avoid rubbing the wrists together, which dulls the white florals.
