Iris ensata 'Goldbound', commonly known as Japanese iris, is a clump-forming perennial with upright, sword-shaped green leaves forming a neat, architectural mound. In early to mid-summer, it produces large, flat, showy flowers in rich violet-purple shades with golden yellow centres, creating a striking and dramatic display in borders or near water features.
