Persicaria bistorta 'Bistort', commonly known as bistort, is a clump-forming perennial with lance-shaped green leaves forming a dense mound. In late spring to early summer, it produces tall spikes of densely packed, bright pink flowers, creating a bold and decorative display in borders or damp garden areas.
The flowers attract bees and other pollinators, giving the plant ecological value. Its upright, moisture-loving habit makes it ideal for pond edges, damp borders, or naturalistic plantings where summer colour and structural interest are desired.
