Tiziana Terenzi is an Italian niche fragrance house founded in the small town of Cagli, in Le Marche, by father-and-daughter perfumers Paolo and Tiziana Terenzi. The brand began as a candle-making atelier rooted in the family's astronomy and observatory work, before extending into haute parfumerie. The Anniversary Collection — built on the same idea as fine wine, where each bottle is unique to the harvest of its raw materials — is the family's most prized line and is produced in limited annual editions.

The story behind Chimaera

Tiziana Terenzi often draws on Italian astronomy, mythology and family history for its perfumes; Chimaera takes the mythological hybrid creature — lion, goat and serpent — as a metaphor for a fragrance built from radically different parts. The Anniversary Collection releases the same compositions over different years, with subtle variations driven by the natural raw materials of that harvest, much like a fine wine vintage.

How to wear it

Apply moderately at first; this is not a fragrance to over-spray.
